Therapeutic Style
My philosophy is simple: I believe that healthy, secure, connected relationships with ourselves, and others, is essential to achieving a balanced life with meaning and purpose.
In contrast however, the opposite is exponentially true—when our relationships to self and others are unhealthy, insecure, and painful everything in life is more difficult and seemingly less possible.
That's where I come in.
I want you to thrive in your life, not just get by, or worse, suffer. I will help you understand what’s really going on in your life and relationships, and discover what's in the way and how to move what needs moving or build what needs building. My work with you will be authentic, dynamic and focused. We won't get stuck telling your story without finding a solution to what troubles you.
My style is relational, supportive, direct, engaging, motivating and kind. I bring lots of personality to my work and whether I work with you individually or as a couple, if you're willing to put in the effort, I'll help you find a way out of seemingly impossible places.
Experience:
Early in my career I worked in forensics with mandated sexual perpetrators, sex addiction as well as female offenders in prison. Although the therapy was providing support and rehabilitation it never incorporated family or couple’s therapy.
I realized that my clients would be sent home to an abusive family or marriage with no therapy to repair, rebuild and reintegrate them. It was hard to feel like I was making a lasting impact on the lives of my clients. This lead me in the direction of marriage and family therapy. I knew that I wanted to contribute to others' lives in a profound and long-lasting way, so I returned to school and earned my Master's of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. From there, the love of this work truly blossomed and I became involved with various mental health organizations in Calgary and eventually started my own private practice specializing in relationships and couple’s therapy.

More than just my work:
My husband, kids, parents and my friends are my life. I’m obsessed with all thing’s relationships. On a day off you would find me listening to a podcast or audiobook and spending time out with my hubby, kids or close friends. I love Pilates, hiking, being in nature, watching my kids do their sports, and just hanging out with the ones I love most. People who know me would describe me as: playful, kindhearted, outgoing, and love to make people laugh! Black coffee and milk chocolate are my fav, and I’m a big fan of singing and dancing to 90’s music. I’m sort of a neat freak; that comes from my mother, and I’m an only child.
